Heartbroken to part with our boy. But due to living circumstances changing we can not remain with Dexter.

More About Dexter

Dexter is a German Shep X Beagle. He is much bigger than a beagle but smaller than a GSD. He is 9 months old. He’s very smart, I’ve taught him a lot of tricks, he picks things up quickly and loves training. He’s very energetic and is on the go majority of the time. He’s a strong boy. He’s had all vaccines and is microchipped. He is not neutered. He’s fully crate trained and loves his crate. He sleeps 8pm - 6am roughly. He has no aggression or separation anxiety. He does jump up at worktops and people, something we have been working on. He walks ok on loose lead but again still working on this, he has gotten loads better but still room for improvement. He is extremely friendly. Loves people and dogs. Plays very well with dogs. On a walk if a dog is close enough he will bark and pull to get to them, this is purely because he is frustrated he can not play with them, I had a behaviourist confirm this. He loves chewing, loves all natural animal chews and fruit and veg. He doesn’t like the heat and prefers the cold. He needs a minimum of 45 minute walk a day. We do about an hour at the moment. He loves spending time in the garden and occupies himself. He prefers to play with you rather than by himself. Loves fetch and tug of war and being chased. He comes off lead sometimes but rare. His recall is another working progress if he picks up a scent he won’t come back, he is very nose to the ground. Likewise as he’s so friendly he would run over to anyone he saw to say hello. So I am mindful where I let him off. He is such a happy boy and we are absolutely heartbroken that he has to leave us. He’s never lived with another cat, dog or children. Due to his energetic nature and size I’m not sure how he would be around small children incase of knocking them over. Children he has met he plays well with them and isn’t bothered by them. I would avoid living with a cat again not having experienced this. Please message with any questions. Thankyou. He will come with all toys, bowls crate and blankets. Unless not wanted.
