LILO and LILA are bouncing with fun and curiosity. They are gorgeous, beautiful, active, playful explorers. They are brother and sister from the same litter and love each other's company
LILO's and LILA's mother ('TAMMY') and father ('TRISTRAM') are pure-breed chocolate chihuahuas, though they carry the lilac gene as that is how they came out! They have one more sister who is also lilac and one brother who is chocolate brown. Their coat is a creamy light colour, soft and slightly fluffy to the touch, of a short length and easy to manage. They are also easy to manicure though great care should be taken not to clip nails too far back.
LILO and LILA are both happy being handled gently and they interacts well with humans as well as other dogs. They is used to slightly larger dogs (small-medium) and holds their own in their company, though they can can themselves be categorized as miniature (but NOT 'tea-cup miniature').
LILO and LILA passed their Initial Health Checks with flying colours - no health issues whatsoever: healthy hearts, sturdy bodies, good metabolism, free of parasites - and they are microchipped, ready to be loyal to their new owners. They can be vaccinated before departure or not, as per the wishes of his new owner. As some people are not keen on vaccines, this is not done automatically, but upon request. It is a legal requirement to be microchipped but it is not a legal requirement for puppies to be vaccinated. However, we would highly recommend doing so.
LILO and LILA both still "comfort-feed" from their mother 'MISSY' with their siblings but they are no longer dependent on her for sustenance. Both of them love raw meat and bones as well as kibble and wet dog food, titbits and treats. They are not fussy eaters and enjoy a varied diet. However, great care must be taken not to feed them onions, chocolate, grapes, macadamias or other foods (on which more information can be provided) that can be poisonous to them. Potatoes are also not recommended for carbohydrates, while pasta is safe.
LILO and LILA are not fussy about where they sleeps but they most like snuggling up together with their siblings on sofas and beds. They still like to sleep a lot but play about an equal amount of time. They both know how to use puppy pads when it is not possible to go outside. They like being held at this stage, carried around, and immense would need to be taken if they were walked on the pavement, both from other people's feet and from other, larger dogs.
LILO and LILA would do best with another small companion or companions as they need social interactions with friends of their own size. It is possible to take the pair of them together (which would be ideal for them), in which case a joint fee for the two of them can be discussed.
The price reflects that they are lilac gene chihuahuas, tiny in size, excellent in breeding (from six confirmed generations pure chihuahua heritage) and have been socialised excellently with a variety small dogs. It is also essential to know that their future owners take 100% seriously the immense responsibility that comes with owning them.
