Dogs for adoption in Shaftesbury, Dorset

Chloe is a lovely dog, but unfortunately my situation is no longer serving both her and me. I took Chloe on when she was young but unfortunately she'd had a rough start of which I'm happy to explain. Chloe needs to live with people who work from home or are unlikely to leave her for too long (<4hours) and does need a garden. Ideally Chloe would live as an only dog, or with a very tolerant dog with equal energy. She is brilliant with other dogs, but she can be a bully with a dog who cannot stand up for themselves. Chloe is fantastic with children, but would be better for older children. Perhaps 10+ Chloe can be destructive when left alone and not in a crate (pulls over the bin and will chew small things) Chloe does pull on walks. She is a Velcro dog and absolutely loves company. She's been seen by a vet and her airways are very good for a Frenchie and with the right care around temperature she will continue having no issues around her breathing. Any prospective home will be heavily vetted as Chloe is not a simple dog, but she will be the best friend to whoever has the right home for her. Lengthy discussions are encouraged

Loves to cuddle, loves walks, loves to sleep. Excellent with children and loves playing football with them. Excellent family pet or companion. Murphy is Border Collie X Corgi, he is more Border Collie (however, slightly smaller) and has the Corgi circle tail features.

Ronnie is a very loving and friendly dog. He enjoys going on walks or snuggling on sofa. He does struggle with being left for a long time. He is prone to ear infections but they can be manged with regular cleaning of his ears

Very happy bouncing girl with lots of love and energy needs to be the main focus of the household loves to be on a one to one with her owner as she has a tendency to get jealous,

Ralphie is a gorgeous boy with an amazing temperament, loves to play and loves children and other dogs He hates cats so no cat homes I'm afraid.. I am rehoming as I am downsizing and it is through no fault of his own Please no offers (unless it's reasonable)

It is with a heavy heart we need our nearly 2 year old French Bulldog boy to find a new loving family who live in a house/flat with a secure private garden. Due to a new job we can no longer spend the time at home that he needs. He is loving, cuddly, friendly, loves children and we have 5 cats so he's happy with other animals. He's friendly with other dogs and just wants to play. He loves going for short walks and loves his toys, especially chewing on his toy bone. He sits on command, is toilet trained, sleeps all night (not in our bedroom!) and can give his paw when asked. He is crate trained however since moving homes, he has not been in his crate for c6 months as there was no need. He is microchipped and is up to date with prescribed flea and worm treatment as well as vaccinations and can provide documentation for this. He has had Stenotic Nares Laser Surgery on his nasal airway to help with breathing and has been checked for whether he needs full BOAS surgery and he does not. He also has had one testicle removed as it did not descend but the other one is still intact and did descend therefore he is not fully castrated. There are no other health issues. Can provide you with any leftover food (dry), his toys, bed, water bowl, feeding bowl, spare flea/worm treatment we have, dog shampoo, creams, puppy pads, lead, harness, travel cage/crate, car travel seat and some cute outfits! We rescued Milo just over a year ago from an abusive home and he has come a long way with us. Unfortunately since we had our daughter we aren't able to give him the amount of attention he needs and deserves. He's a very nervous boy from his past experiences but once he gets to know you he is extremely loving and likes nothing more than cuddling up with his human. Milo loves to run and play with a ball in the garden. He enjoys long walks but sometimes struggles with his anxiety when out. Our daughter is 11 months old and he is so good with her and shows no sign of aggression with her. He is such a lovely boy but would do much better with a family with older children as he needs a lot of love and attention. When he first meets someone he will bark but once he realises your not a threat will love you. Milo likes most food and will occasionally have a cheeky little sausage which he loves.

Henry is a loving but energetic dog, fantastic with kids and small children. Up to date with everything and is an amazingly all round dog. Ideally someone who goes for long walks or regular walks would be suitable for Henry.

Due to tragic circumstances, I am heartbroken that I am having to post this ad as we are having to consider finding a new forever home for my amazing little cookie. He is a KC-registered Pomeranian with the best breeding, and we brought him home at 9 weeks on the 10th of April 2025 for £2800. So he is 5 months old. Cookie is just the most loving and friendly little boy; he's been fantastically socialised and is great with strangers and other animals. He goes everywhere with us, including shopping, cafes and restaurants, day trips, the beach, etc. He is a true companion, and we would only consider homes for him that will provide him with as much love and attention as we have. He would love a home with other animals and a garden if possible. There also needs to be at least one person home at least most of the day, because he is used to me being home-based and thrives on human attention.
