Maya is a gentle 5-year-old female Staffy/Pocket Bully who has been with us for about three months. She enjoys going for walks, relaxing indoors, and receiving attention. Maya has a friendly temperament, gets along with other dogs—including those that are noisy or unfriendly—and interacts well with people. She is calm and only barks when someone arrives at the door. Maya walks well on a leash and has encountered a variety of animals during outings without showing any prey drive. She responds to basic commands and is crate trained, although her obedience skills are not advanced. Due to my wife’s declining health and my work schedule, we are unable to provide Maya with the care she deserves. Maya is a wonderful companion, and rehoming her is a difficult choice, but we want her to have the best possible care. She enjoys the company of other dogs but would probably thrive as the only pet. She has lived with our six cats, though she can be possessive if they get too much attention. Maya grew up around children and is friendly, but her energetic personality means she may not be ideal for households with very young kids. For more information, please reach out.
