Carrier – The dog carries one copy of the gene mutation but is completely healthy and will never develop the condition. Affected – The dog has two copies of the gene mutation and may develop the condition. As our dam is STGD Carrier and our sire is STGD Clear, none of the puppies can be affected by STGD. Puppies from this mating may be either Clear or Carrier, but none will develop the condition. As both parents have been tested clear for the remaining conditions listed above, none of the puppies can be affected by CNM, HNPK, SD2, EIC or MCD.
